Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains - Caught In The Act of Not Bein gAwesome

This blog is in the same condition as punk. Not Dead. I'm sorry about the break guys, i just have had a really busy schedule lately.

Anyway, Johnny Hobo is an anarchist folk-punk band fronted by a man called Pat the Bunnyman, who also sings for the wingnut dishwashers union. They pretty much sing about getting high, getting drunk, beinhg homeless, and being nihilists. Its all good fun.

This album changed my life.

Nuerotic Swingers - French Fries, Guillotine and Love.

Neurotic Swingers are a pop-punk band from france. They sound like someone put the clash and the buzzcocks in a blender, then let the singer from green day go wild on about every other track. Its catchy and raw at the same time. Ive had songs from this album running through my head constantly scince I bought it. I believe that this album is a compilation of several 7 inches from earlier in this bands career. Get this while you can.

plus in unrelated news, i noticed people only download big bands off of here. whats with that? punk is underground. punk only remains alive through the magic of file sharing. enjoy litlle bands. enjoy litlle demos. spread them on your blogs, make a copy for your friend, go vintage with tape trading, just get int othe underground bands. capesh?

LISTEN TO THIS OR SUFFER TERRIBLY!

The Problematics - The Kids All Suck

Great junk-fi punk rock with alot of melody, almost pop-punk, but the poppiness is overcome by the really really bad production. which I love. Includes covers of the undertones, zero boys, and the gizmos, strongly recomended, get it while its here.

Shot Baker - Time To Panic EP

Shot Baker is a fantastic punk band from Chicago. I want to come up with some subgenre to put it under, but i don't know what to call it. Original sounding Pop-ish Hardcore, i guess. Kinda sounds like Screeching Weasel with with someone trying to sing like the Ramones but they can't.
Anyway i got into this band from a fantastic live version of Sorry Illinois featured on the I Killed Punk Rock compilation. i should post that.

Destroy-Discography

I went online to see if anyone else had this posted, and i was a litlle bit shocked and disturbed when i couldnt find it after 45 seconds of half hearted searching. So assuming you chumps are as lazy as i am, im postimng this here for your listening pleasure.

Destroy is a really great late 80s crust punk band from America. This album seriously restored my faith in crust punk. The liner notes say this is everything except their demo. I believe this band was originally formed to play in the style of the early english harcore bands, chaos u.k, discharge, ect, but then absorbed extreme noise terror and napalm death and the like to become pioneers of crust punk. I think one of the members of this band went of to form Havoc Records, which is one of the major crust and hardcore record labels in America.

Flatfoot 56 - Waves of War, Rumble of 56

Flatfoot 56 is a celt-punk, oi-ish, band from Chicago. Ive seen them twice, and both were some of the most amazing shows I've ever been to. You know its a great show when you leave the concert soaked in bear and other peoples sweat. These are the two albums that are out of print. I Can strongly recomend the albums they do have in print, and they shouldnt be to hard to find if you look.

Squared Off-Standing Strong

Squared Off is a great oi street punk type band from Chicago. I caught them live a couple weeks ago, it was an amazing show, though the violent middle aged skinheads started to annoy me. They sound a litlle bit like sham 69, 4-skins, ect.

Let Down - Not My Proudest Moment CDR

I got this album free at a Flatfoot 56 concert(great celtic oi band from the chicago area). In style its really good fast, furious hardcore, sounds similar to Impact Unit to me, or some of the NYHC bands, lifes halt and that kind of crap. Its a CDR so the quality isnt the best, and it has a short running time, but its fantastic.

This is a great diy crust band from somewhere in Germany. They play crust mixed with a lot of grind and pv influences. I think crustcracker had this posted already, but this is to great to not have up here. Ive only had this for about a week, so i don't really know anything about them, except that their fantastic and you should download them.

Charles Bronson- Complete Disgocrappy

I Know that this is widely avaiable on the internet and blogsophere already, but all my actually rare stuff needs to be ripped so i can put it on here, so i figure well settle with this for now.
If you dont know this classic, they were an earlier pioneer of powerviolence, and are from the chicago/dekalb area of Illinois, where i live, so this gives me a nice feeling of local pride. :) The sound is mostly super fast hardcore inspired pv with noise rock elements and rare moments of technical profficiency. The average listener will be completly lost, because as far as i can tell this is stuffed with inside jokes. And if you get the jokes you probably have everything they've made anyway. I believe the first disc is everything they released, and the second disc is all rarieties.
